Analysis of GC intratumor heterogeneity

Gastric Cancer (GC) is a complex disease with remarkable biological and genetic heterogeneity, which results in the failure of clinical translation of numerous therapeutic options targeting recurrent genomic alterations in GC. Thus, accurate assessment of intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) is vital for development of effective therapeutic approaches.

In this project, we are applying a multi-region approach by whole-exome sequencing of spatially distinct regions from the same tumor, and constructing organoid models derived from the corresponding tumor regions. This integrative analysis will allow us to investigate genomic and phenotypic heterogeneity simultaneously, to provide a dynamic picture of ITH in GC.
